HuskyPC (Windows)

The University of Connecticut offers a standard personal computer known as the HuskyPC. The purchase of a HuskyPC includes UConn's standard supported software and hardware support. Software and hardware troubleshooting is provided by University Information Technology Services (UITS) and hardware replacement is provided by the vendor(s). In addition, various schools/divisions have IT personnel that are responsible for supporting computers in their areas.

Personal Purchases

HuskyPCs may only be purchased using University funds. If you would like to purchase a similarly configured system, or shop Dell's full catalog, you can visit Dell's Premier Site for Personal Purchases at http://www.dell.com/uconn. Note: Personal purchases do not include the HuskyPC image and support is provided by the vendor.

Windows Vista and Office 2007

HuskyPCs that were quoted after May 15th, 2008 began shipping with Windows Vista and Office 2007 installed. If a department requires Windows XP they may email a quote to Christopher_Avery@dell.com, requesting the Windows XP HuskyPC image be installed instead. You will receive a new quote back which you should use to place your order. For more information visit http://software.uconn.edu/vistaoffice/index.html.
