HuskyPC (Windows)
The University of Connecticut offers a standard personal computer known as the HuskyPC. The purchase of a HuskyPC includes UConn's standard supported software and hardware support. Software and hardware troubleshooting is provided by University Information Technology Services (UITS) and hardware replacement is provided by the vendor(s). In addition, various schools/divisions have IT personnel that are responsible for supporting computers in their areas.
Windows Vista and Office 2007
Beginning May 2008, HuskyPC systems will begin shipping with Windows Vista and Office 2007 installed. A process is being developed for departments to obtain Windows XP or Office 2003 if necessary. For more information visit http://software.uconn.edu/vistaoffice/.
